Scope and Contents
This scrapbook includes photos of students during sporting events and around campus as well as outings with friends. There are numerous programs from theater performances in Allentown. Dubbs also saved newspaper clippings detailing Muhlenberg sports – particularly track and field, ticket stubs, notes, and dance cards. Included are pages of student autographs, permission slips to escort a date, athletic ribbons, and a photo showing the college mascot as a dog.
Laid in is THE MORNING CALL issue 6/12/1954 with a reunion photo of six Class of 1919 alumni. Also laid in are many items including calendars, a telegram, travel postcards, programs, personal correspondence, and small, unrecognizable negatives.

Biographical / Historical
Harry Russell Dubbs (1897-1976), Class of 1919, participated in class athletics, Cue and Quill, and Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. After three college years, he served as a private and lieutenant in the 50th infantry Army Reserves at Plattsburg Barracks. Upon returning to college he completed his education, receiving his Bachelor of Arts in 1921.
He founded The Dubbs Company in Allentown, PA which sold gifts, advertising, and display items. The company joined with Target Marketing LLC in 2006, part of a large Promotional Marketing firm.
