The collection is open for research, with only a few very limited restrictions; access by appointment.

From the Collection: 50 Linear Feet (The bulk of the printed material (previously the vertical files) is contained in flip-top document cases. Textiles, memorabilia, and other realia is stored in appropriate lidded boxes.)

"Minority Programs: A Promising Start";

Susan Toms is hired as college's first coordinator of minority programs 1984, funded from Association for Lutherans with matching funding from college;

Dr. Daniel Wilson proposes experimental course in black history which he will teach ;

"Student Profile: Curtis Cheatham '87" - One of only six black students on campus, he is helping to organize group called Black Collegians United

Recipient of Sidney G. Weikert Memorial Scholarship
