Scope and Contents

Series I comprises two magazines published by Libby: "Gaydar" and "The Gay Journal." "Gaydar" has been digitized and is made available online.

Series II contains a digitized scrapbook created for Libby by his partner, Gary Gaugler, Jr., in honor of his 50th birthday.

Series III contains two films documenting the LGBT community of the Lehigh Valley, "Through a Lavender Lens: Gay and Lesbian Culture in the Lehigh Valley," and "Through a Lavender Lens 2: Your Friends and Neighbors."

Series IV contains digital photographs of the Lehigh Valley Pride Festival from 2009, 2012, and 2013.

Biographical / Historical

Stephen Libby has made documentaries including Through a Lavender Lens: Gay and Lesbian Culture in the Lehigh Valley, and Through a Lavender Lens 2: Your Friends and Neighbors. He founded Gaydar Magazine (2004-08), The Gay Journal (2016-present), and is a full-time hospice social worker.
