From the Collection: The material in this collection consists of one file containing correspondence between Frank Whelan, Bob Wittman, and the Samuel W. Miller Memorial Blood Center, which was testing the blood of individuals for Hepatitis B and cytomegalovirus as recommended by the Philadlephia AIDS Task Force.

Biographical / Historical

The materials reflect our involvement in gay rights movement here locally. The shirt was produced for Lamda Center on whose board Whelan served and Wittman were members 1981-1985. Hat was purchased at Gay Naturist Gathering in Poconos. Wittman and Whelan were members of the "Philadelphia Gay Bares" Gay naturist group 1980's -1990, both fans represent Wittman Whelan participation in Gay Rights Marches in Philadelphia in 2001/ 25th anniversary of Stonewall in NYC on June 26, 2001.
