03/13/1945 - personal letter from Theodore A. Distler to President Tyson that Tyson report on his visit with Mrs. Roosevelt; newspaper article ("My Day" by Eleanor Roosevelt) describes Tyson visit with his son to her home for lunch in Washington, D.C.

03/27/1945 - personal letter from Paul C. White (Office of the Synod) to President Tyson includes attached newspaper article about Tyson and his son having lunch with Eleanor Roosevelt.

10/18/1954 - Morning Call Article "Columbia to Honor Dr. Tyson";

July 1963, Gettysburg Alumni Bulletin: Four Distinguished Alumni were honored in cluding Dr. Levering Tyson, '10.

The Leader newspaper, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. August 16, 1962. "From Point Pleasant Trolley Car Motorman to College President - The Tyson Story" describes Tyson's first job as a conductor on the trolley car.
