The collection is open for research, with only a few very limited restrictions; access by appointment.

Extent

From the Collection: 50 Linear Feet (The bulk of the printed material (previously the vertical files) is contained in flip-top document cases. Textiles, memorabilia, and other realia is stored in appropriate lidded boxes.)

Originally President's house before moved to 339 N. Leh, Street; becomes home of Wescoe Evening school; Clarke Wescoe; J.C. Shumberger sends Tyson $500 to be used for kitchen improvements in President's house 1944; Christmas card with illustration illustration;

President's Manse, home of President and Mrs. Messerli, is one of the stops on the Swain School 1990 Holiday House Tour; details about the 4,532 square-foot house;

College was site of some of the earliest years of the Swain School from 1945 until move to current location at 1100 S. 24th Street.
