From the Series: This series includes materials relating to Allentown Seminary, Allentown Military and Collegiate Institute, Allentown Preparatory School, bicentennial/centennial celebrations, coeducation, The Muhlenberg Five, EVI, honorary degrees conferred, Middle Atlantic States evaluation, college seal and mace, S.A.T.C. (Student Army Training Corps), strategic plans, and much more.

The collection is open for research, with only a few very limited restrictions; access by appointment.

From the Collection: 50 Linear Feet (The bulk of the printed material (previously the vertical files) is contained in flip-top document cases. Textiles, memorabilia, and other realia is stored in appropriate lidded boxes.)

Phi Gamma Delta charter; Dr. Ana Maria Metzger refused tenure; Sam Beidleman- coaching staff; Joel Seigle refused tenure ; controversy with Morey ; Paul Empie comments on WEEKLY issue; campus speakers; LeRoi Jones; abortion issue; Communist speaker; Allen Ginsberg, Beat poet (Feb 1967); community and faculty reaction, both positive and negative to speaker LeRoi James, "Black Power" advocate (Oct 1967) ; heated discussion about allowing Student Council to make decisions re: choice of assembly speakers; John Cage (1967); Dr. Jensen's stand on issues; students protest high food prices charged by Sodexo; MC becomes fourth college to condemn the Patriot Act - 2004; students and staff gather to make people aware of the consequences of climate change (newspaper photo 12/5/19)
